This makes a yummy treat for the holidays for kids of all ages. Makes a special gift too!


¼ cup butter

1 cup Ola! Chocolate Banana Chip Granola

¼  teaspoon kosher salt

2/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup light corn syrup

¼ cup water

¾ teaspoon baking soda


1. Separate out the banana chips and chocolate chunks out of the granola and set aside.  (Use these pieces to place on top of the brittle after spreading it onto parchment paper and before it sets to harden.)
2. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add remaining granola and salt to butter and cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Set aside.
3. Combine sugar, corn syrup, and ¼ cup water in a medium saucepan over med high heat; bring to a boil, stirring just until sugar dissolves. Cook until candy thermometer registers 335. Remove pan from heat; add butter/granola mixture and baking soda. Working quickly, spread mixture in a thin, even layer on a parchment lined baking sheet. Using tongs or a spoon, place banana chips and chocolate chunks into the mixture. Let stand until set. Break into pieces.  Enjoy!
